A Jumia Gift Card is a versatile, fully digital prepaid voucher designed to provide a seamless, cashless shopping experience across the Jumia e-commerce ecosystem. It serves as an ideal alternative payment method for personal shopping, a thoughtful gift for loved ones, or a flexible reward system for corporate employees.
Jumia Gift Cards operate entirely as digital codes.
Purchase & Delivery: The digital gift card is purchased (often via the JumiaPay app or authorized corporate channels) and delivered instantly as a unique alphanumeric code via email or SMS.
Redemption: The recipient shops normally on the Jumia website or mobile app. At the final payment step during checkout, they enter the code into the "Voucher Code" field to instantly apply the credit to their total bill.
Massive Catalog Eligibility: The gift card can be used to purchase millions of items across the Jumia store, including smartphones, electronics, fashion apparel, beauty products, and household essentials.
Geographically Locked: Each gift card is strictly country-specific. For example, a card purchased for Jumia Egypt can only be redeemed on the Egyptian platform and cannot be transferred or used on Jumia Nigeria, Kenya, or other regional sites.
One-Time Use Policy: Gift vouchers are generally designed for single-use transactions. It is highly recommended to spend the entire value of the card at once, as any remaining balance after a smaller purchase may be forfeited. If the order total exceeds the card value, the customer simply pays the remaining balance using standard payment methods.
Strict Expiration Windows: Most retail and promotional Jumia gift cards carry a validity window of 90 days (3 months) from the date of issue. Once this period passes, the credit automatically expires and cannot be refunded or extended.
Order Cancellations & Returns: If an order placed with a gift card is canceled by Jumia or the user before shipping, the code is typically re-activated automatically within 24 hours. For returned items, customers must contact Jumia customer support to have a replacement voucher manually issued.
Non-Exchangeable: Jumia Gift Cards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for physical cash, and they are treated like cashβlost, stolen, or unauthorized shared codes will not be replaced or blocked by Jumia.
Security Warning: Treat your Jumia Gift Card code with strict confidentiality. Anyone who has possession of the alphanumeric digits can apply it to an order, so keep it secure until you are ready to complete your purchase.
